In running Real Time Eligibility (RTE), the DrChrono system will use a hierarchy of NPIs.
- First, it will use any listed under Insurance Setup by the payer

- If nothing is under Insurance Setup, it will then use the NPI under the office settings.

- If nothing is listed there, it will then go to account settings and use the NPI there.
