If you are seeing light indicators on your BBPOS hardware device, this is what they could mean:
Light Indicators
| None | The card reader is off. |
| Flashing blue and white | The card reader is connected and ready to accept card input for payment. (This is the behavior on the select payment method page). |
| Flashing blue every second | The card reader is on and ready to connect to a device. (Will turn off after 5 minutes). |
| Multicolored flashing | The card reader has been discovered using Bluetooth Proximity and is ready to connect. |
| Steady blue | The card reader is connected to a device. |
| Flashing blue every 5 seconds | The card reader is in standby mode. Standby mode only occurs when the BBPOS is connected to the iOS device. (Will remain in standby indefinitely). |
| Alternating red and magenta | The card reader is charging. |
| Flashing red | The card reader’s battery is low. |
| Rapidly flashing blue and orange | The card reader has finished installing a software update. If the card reader is unresponsive after the update completes, restart it by turning it off and on. |
