Starting with the 2023 MIPS Promoting Interoperability reporting period, in order to meet the 2023 Provide Patient Access Promoting Interoperability measure, your practice must implement our new ONC Cures Edition FHIR. To get started you need to set up the ConnectEHR for FHIR.
If you need to report for MIPS, you can set up your FHIR APIs in order to report. If you do not need to report for MIPS, it is not necessary for you to set up the FHIR APIs.

Set Up
In order to access the Connect EHR for FHIR API screen, click on Account and select API.
Next, select the ConnectEHR Setup for FHIR tab.
The following setup page will populate with several required fields:
- Practice Group
- Practice NPI
- Practice Name
- Phone Number
- Practice Email
- Practice Email Domain
- Street Address
- City
- State/Province
- ZIP/Postal Code
- Country
Once all required fields have been filled out, click the blue Connect button. A green Connected status and a FHIR Endpoint URL will populate under the Status field if you are connected. If you are not connected, a red Not Connected status will show.
